Scenes From the Gila: La Llorona

My next few posts will be quick looks at my most recent series of paintings called “Scenes From the Gila.” They were completed between January and April, 2014, in my studio in Las Cruces, NM. Each image is based off photos I took during my travels in the Gila National Forest from 2012-2013, and each title is a haiku.
